Is anyone else seeing these weird google bar graphs in their search results? I know I'm not the absolute only one, because my friend mamster is hitting the same thing, but I'm kinda surprised that we're the only news outlet reporting this so far. Now that we have our stake in the ground on being all leading-edge and scoopy with it, I'd like to see ( Read more... )

No bar graphs, but I just noticed that at home (on Safari for OSX 10.3.9), I get the "old" interface, and at work (Safari for the latest iteration of 10.4), I get a search box with a drop-down to let me choose news, blogs, etc.

I don't know what is up with Google today but I can't seem to get to any page after page ONE of any search that I do.

And they are advertising a "Google Desktop" now... don't know if it's coincidence or not.

But yeah, Google is getting mighty big for their britches... uhhh, metaphorical britches.

Didn't happen to me on Firefox or IE, though I was logged in with Google cookies because I use Gmail.

it's definitely not something that's widespread -- it's some sort of UI test on a small batch of users. I'm just trying to work out how small I haven't found anyone yet that has hit it beyond me & mamster, which is weird.
