Tuesday dawned foggy again, slowing our hurtling down I-29 to a mere 70mph.

Don't let the wifi fool you. That's the equivalent of us Iowans pounding on a bulletproof glass window, noses smearing down the pane, screaming for release. We have internet because we have nothing else.

Please tell me David has picked up some AE chocolate milk. It's the real deal.

I wandered over from yhlee to see what you'd gotten of Omaha, since I grew up there. The Antiquarium! I'm so glad you found it; more visitors should. The old fella who runs the place will bargain with punk kids if they don't have enough money for the books.

it is a totally wonderful bookstore! we barely scratched the surface of Omaha (we're barrelling through most of our stops on this trip), but what I saw was nifty.

That's so funny, you were right in the neighborhood where I grew up. We lived in Missouri Valley, Iowa (I used to detassle all that corn - an awful job) which is just around the bend from either Council Bluffs or Omaha.

I do miss the smell of Iowa in the summertime, I have to admit.
