HE KNEW

The wonderful Annie Proulx owns these boys, but they have taken up residence in my heart.  I have been tinkering around with a few words based on their THING.  As this is my first original entry, I welcome comments - but please be gentle with me ( Read more... )

I was so excited to see my first comments so quickly. Thank so much for your kind and encouraging words! I don't know about more writing at the moment - every 2 months is about my mark - but I will try! I have to get ready for my holiday in Cyprus soon - thats if the Iceland volcanic ash doesn't blow over Europe again and stop all the flights!

Thanks once again, Kelly

Oh hon, this was gorgeous. Well done you:)

His heart was bursting with things unsaid
When words wouldn't come and he mumbled and stalled
He finally knew, what he'd known along,
Too late, he knew what this thing was called.

Now you've posted once, there's no excuse not to post again:)

Just lovely;)

Hugs

Oh Joanne, thank you for your kind support. In a way it was like my baby - I've been nurturing it undercover for weeks and I thought I would just go for it and post it and be damned! I'm so pleased you liked it and even put a copy of the last verse in your reply. I don't know about posting again any time soon - this writing lark is hard work!

Hugs to you

Hey Paula!!! How awesome. That was wonderful to read.

Oh yes, by the time he realized what that thing is, it was indeed too late. He was already gone.

Awwww, the descriptions of early love. Very well done, Paula; I thoroughly enjoyed.

Congratulations and just write when something comes to you. It's not something to feel pressured about but is something to do for fun. Then, sometimes before you know it, you're obssessed. Like me!

lol

Hey Mary, your words were were very much appreciated. I know my entry was not the greatest piece of writing, but it meant a lot to me personally. I like your advice - that writing is not something to feel pressured about, but to do for fun. As Heath said when its not fun anymore, just walk away from it, and do something else (or words to that effect)*sigh*.
Thank so much for your comments.

Hey Loreen - thank you for friending me. I have seen your name on many comments to writers stories, but I have only just got around to finding your journal. I have just started reading The Lighthouse and find it very exciting and a perfect setting for Jack and Ennis. I will leave a comment when I have caught up with all the chapters.

I was honoured that you read my little effort in my journal. It is true that BBM was all about beauty and sadness - but also about everlasting love, and I think that is why it has such a strong and lasting hold on us.

Love Paula
