so I need help:

what do I get Kevin, my boyfriend, for christmas?

I mean, I know what he's interested in (sports, computers) and I know his favorite things (The Sox, The Bears, Goose Island, Me) but I'm out of ideas of gifts. I've taken him to a Sox game, got him passes to ESPN zone, Sox paraphenalia, as well as random other things but i need help.

i'm a big fan of dates instead of presents. maybe it's partially because for some inexplicable reason (at least to me) my boyfriend hates presents. he likes to give them but hates to get them. as someone who LOVES presents :), i find this very hard to understand and very frustrating because i always want to get him something he likes/wants, but he always has a very disappointing reaction since he's not very in to presents in the first place. SOO i always try to think of something special to do instead. so last year for christmas, i took him downtown and we went to a really nice dinner and then we were supposed to go ice skating in millenium park, because i know he likes to ice skate. except it was a 3 hour wait just to RENT skates, plus wait to skate, so that didn't work out. but it's the thought that counts, right? i would suggest like a romantic dinner that you've made or a fun new restaurant downtown and making it a nice date.

you can't go wrong with sports tickets. i got joe bears tickets. he already knows about them cause the game is the 22nd and he looked teary-eyed lol.

concert tickets, alcohol signs like to put by a bar lol, or like amanda said some kind of outting, but like a boys outing. ice skating is super girly. so maybe like going snowboarding or something like that?

i got zach a tshirt from his favorite brand. peanut butter M&M's which are his fav. umm... a DVD player for his room 'cause he uses his PS2 which sucks 'cause he has no remote for it so he has to use the controller. and a new pair of jeans to replace these old ones that are faded in all the wrong places and he's probably had for 5 years.

my friend suggested an engraved beer mug or flask with something witty on it. but I couldn't think of anything witty. you're way more witty than me.

I like Jenn's idea. something that he definitely needs that most people wouldn't notice and he wouldn't normally ask for. (dvd player for zach) you're observant and caring. haha.
