My current job involves no workplace drama. My immediate supervisor is cool, the people I have to be around are cool, the wage is okay and while the hours aren't exactly ideal for me (9-5, M-F), they are predictable and consistent

I head to LV in December for the psych and background interviews.

Is that for LVMPD? Have you looked at this one at all?

My recruiter was thoroughly pissed off. After he was notified, he took like 4 hours to come pick me up. Refused to say a word to me when he got there. The tension in the air on the ride back could've been easily cut with a butter knife.Jesus, that wasn't a guy named Bibbs, was it? He was mine, and was a complete and total asshole when pretty much the same thing happened to me. He instructed me to lie through my teeth about having had asthma in infancy, as it's an automatic DQ. So when the moment came, I couldn't lie. They called him, and he blew a gasket at me. I applied for a waiver to the DQ and took (and passed) a stress test on my own dime. After I (personally, Bibbs still wasn't talking to me) mailed the results to DC, I waited for a month and a half for word. I finally called the recruiting station and was told by another guy that Bibbs had gotten my results back 4 weeks prior, a no-go. Bibbs refused

Came here from Brett's journal... Where do ya work, if you don't mind me asking? You sound like one of my guards. I feel bad for guards and such, because there is nothing to do for hours on end. I would get too bored and probably quit. Eh.

I work for A Very Large Security Company. Although I don't much care for the job, it's the only thing I can get at the moment, so I don't wish to reveal the name, lest I get canned and have to revert to my other job full time which pays 5 bucks an hour less.

A former coworker at the Embassy gave me a great idea and one of these days I'm gonna write it up when I have the time or can be prodded into making time since I haven't taken my ADD meds for ages. Think 'Clerks' only with guards. 'Guards' the movie might have many a bullet sponge smiling, nodding, laughing and relating that the only scum we have to deal with are the ones we're either working for or 'protecting'. Might even make management of certain companies treat their people better or crack down when they find out what we really do/say/think.

Comments, constructive criticisms, witty banter and even off-color & smart-assed remarks are always appreciated since I get relatively few.
