I took you to an art show on Thursday and it didn't even get a mention! And it was a damn sight better than that talentless, pretentious wanker Hirst; if someone shot him, the world would be an infinitisemally culturally richer place. The man is a piece of exploitative scum. Hate hate hate. Same goes for Emin and probably Chris Ofili (he's the elephant-dung man).
You liked some of Thursday's stuff enough to buy it!
We'll just have to agree to disagree on Hirst and the rest, I'm afraid.
I didn't really expect to enjoy the Saatchi exhibition nearly as much as I did, that's why I bothered to write about it! I knew I'd enjoy the art show on Thursday as I'd seen Julia's pictures on the web.
I understand your take on modern art. I visited the (US) National Gallery with my sister last month, and the modern art floor there left me pretty unimpressed too.
