Longwood Gardens part 6 - non-orchids

Even when the orchids are the prime attraction, there are plenty of other beautiful plants at Longwood Gardens.

This one caught my eye. It was in the East Conservatory and I don't remember having seen it before. It is a Paper-bush, from Australia.

All your pictures have been so pretty! Reminds me I should really pay another visit to our local botanic gardens, that would cheer me up as winter drags on.

You should do that. Winter is much improved by visits to brightly colored plants, particularly when they're in warm places.

It was nice to see a little bit of Australia. My eyes did a double take when they saw the bottle-brush and the acacias

If you look back through my photos from Longwood you'll find a number of other pieces of Australia. There is Golden Wattle in the East Conservatory and Man ferns in the Fern Passage plus whatever temporary plants are there on any given visit.
