Ah, memories!kkampmomOctober 10 2005, 03:40:29 UTC
In 1969 I spent the summer at the U of I attending a National Science Foundation Math Camp. We stayed in the Hendrick House dorms, which have relatively low ceilings. My roommate and I had our dressers positioned so that you could just walk between them in the room. I used the dressers like you would use your arms on a pool side to get up out of the water. With one hand on top of each dresser, I raised myself up by straightening my arms and was swinging between the dressers, back and forth. I swung my feet too high and hit the right one on the ceiling and sprained my ankle and jammed my toes, requiring a trip to McKinley and being on crutches for a week. Talented, aren't I?
