Do you think that if I took these pills back to the pharmacist and told them that I can't swallow anything that big, they'd give me smaller ones? Or would they just laugh at me?

They can generally give you something smaller, and you'd just take two. Or they can potentially cut them for you, depending on what kind of pill it is.

I can't swallow big pills, either. I bet you can get your doctor to prescribe something else.

You could also coat them with something slippery.
