Episode 034: The Heated Battle of Colloseum!?

The episode begins with a view of Caloria's port . Some humans with the help of Shin Makoku soldiers are rebuilding houses, carrying stuff, etc. And then there's Gisela patching up a man .
Now back to the port, Gunter and Gwendal is aboard the ship. Gwendal tells the soldiers that they were going to depart that day so they should be ready with the preparations. Gunter looks sad and hopes that Yuuri isn't in any danger.
Gwendal says that there's nothing to worry about since Yozak (who, according to Gwendal, is the most trustworthy escort in human territory) and the Great Sage (Murata) is with Yuuri. Gunter, being his usual self, is still worried, particularly over the idea that the 'selfish loafer' (Wolfram) might lose his temper. (LOL, Gunter is jeaaalouss :D) And then Gunter says that if only Conrad was there with them at that time to which Gwendal frowned and said that it's useless to say those kinds of things especially now that Conrad is not around.
Gwendal turned around and commanded the soldiers to carry the box away (which must be really heavy since it takes 4 soldiers to lift it ^^). Gwendal tells Gunter that they have a duty to keep the box in a safe place and to go back immediately to Shin Makoku. It seems that Gwendal has a feeling that something bad may happen if they don't.

Anissina: Leave the country to me. *sparkles + spotlight* I will focus on my womanly strengths and lead an era-defining government that is more compassionate compared to male rule!

Gwendal is definitely not okay.
And then cut to the title.
And then Yuuri and Adelbert.
Adelbert is all "Yo, we meet again." Yuuri asks him why he was there and Yozak goes bodyguard mode on him. Yuuri is wondering why Adelbert was wearing Big Shimaron's uniform now when earlier, he was working with Small Shimaron. Adelbert laughs (but nowhere near Anissina's THE evil laugh) and explains that Small Shimaron is in trouble with Big Shimaron after the box incident and he has no duty with either Maxine or Small Shimaron. SPOILERokay at this point I somewhat felt bad for Sara. ^^" /SPOILER
Anyway, it seems that Adelbert defeated the representatives of Big Shimaron and was asked to represent them in the tournament and he agreed because he had a feeling that Yuuri would come because one of the forbidden boxes ("The End of the Wind") is in Big Shimaron.
You had a feeling Yuuri would come? ….okay. Stalker much? ^_^
Adelbert says that Yuuri isn't the type to not do anything after hearing about the box and that Yuuri takes things too seriously and acts stupidly as a result. …and Yozak agrees with Adelbert and Yuuri admits he's simple-minded LOLXD
And then suddenly, there's Wolfram and he shouts to Yuuri to get away from Adelbert (oh the hatred is definitely there.) Murata says that the match is about to start so they don't need to start a fight at that moment. ^^
Adelbert says that he hopes to fight with Yuuri in the tournament, turns around and then laughs (sadly, Adelbert, you fail. You're nowhere near Anissina's evilness~ XD).
Murata, you are so adorable when you laugh~ *drool*
Yuuri admits to Yozak that he doesn’t think he'll be able to defeat Adelbert and Murata comes up from the back, says "It's like a pretty boy against a beast." LOL.
Yuuri wonders where Flynn and Dorcas is, which is the cue for the next scene:
Murata says that they are going to cheer for them in the crowd, but here we see Dorcas and Flynn with the box. Dorcas says to Flynn that Murata is so reckless, telling them to 'secretly get the box'. Flynn wonders where the real box is. Dorcas answers that according to His Highness, it would be near the Big Shimaron King. He also apologizes for dragging Flynn in a dangerous mission but Flynn says that it's okay and that she volunteered for it.
Uh-oh, trouble.
Two Big Shimaron guards saw them which sends Dorcas in panic. The guards decided to check on them but only found wine bottles inside the box.The guards are confused and Flynn makes up some story that they were to bring the wine to those in the VIP seats. The guards seemed to believed it and Dorcas is relieved.
She said she was used to acting. XD Nice job Flynn! ^^
Okay back to the arena. It's Caloria vs. Big Shimaron!
VS
Yuuri is still wondering why Adelbert is doing what he's doing. Wolfram says that Yuuri doesn't have to fight and Yuuri goes "Huh?". Wolfram patiently explains that only three representatives from each team are required to face each other one on one. Yuuri begins counting off the people in his side but Murata says that he's just the 'brains'/'manager' for the time being. Yuuri unwaveringly says, "Okay, I'll go out first!"
Yuuri obviously didn't understand what Wolfram said ^^
(…and then they looked at each other in the eyes. *squee* ^__^)
Wolfram further explains that they only have to get two victories so Yuuri doesn’t have to fight. Yuuri argues that it was his idea to join the tournament and that even if he was weak, he wants to work hard like everyone else. Wolfram suddenly asks Yuuri, "Do you want to die?"
Wolfram tells Yuuri that the tournament is not a game but rather, a battle for the survival of a country. Cut to the crowd cheering for Big Shimaron. Wolfram says that Adelbert detest the Mazoku and would fight Yuuri seriously. Yozak agrees with Wolfram and tells Yuuri to just leave the fighting to them. Murata joins them and says that Yuuri must be protected.
"A king has a responsibility as the king to live till the very end or else everything else will be a waste."
And then there's the flashback again. Then Murata says something about the last boss dying = game over and that last boss of the last bosses = Yuuri = the Maou and that he just needs to do what only Yuuri is able to do. Wolfram adds that Yuuri is extremely wimpy too.XD
Finally, Yuuri seems to understand and then:
The fangirl in me is very happy ^__^My official OT3. *gets shot*
Yuuri admits that he wasn't confident in his sword skills and he has Morgif as his sword, too, so he's counting on Yozak and Wolfram.
(and then Yuuri and Wolfram stares at each other some more LOLLZ sometimes I wonder why I notice these things XDD)
Suddenly, the crowd cheers for the King of Big Shimaron. Yuuri thinks he looks really wealthy. Murata referred to him as Yuuri's rival from the East. Wolfram says, "In terms of conduct and dignity, he may be a good competition." LOL Yozak says that Yuuri shouldn't let his guard down. (And may I just say that Yozak looked like he gained a hundred pounds in this picture -_- ) Murata says that he's trying to get the forbidden box and key to "unite" the world and commented how the world had changed since he was last there.
Big Shimaron's King raised his bling hand to silence the crowd and formally opened the tournament saying that they should fight with all their heart and that the winner would receive unlimited riches blah blah. But of course, by now we're pretty sure he's made of evil.

The king goes back to sit on his throne and tells one of his guards to enjoy the tournament as well. We can't see the guard's entire face but he smiled. Sort of.^^"
ooohhh who's this? New character? For serious? ^_^
SPOILERWhen I was watching this for the first time, I really thought that Conrad died in that arm-cutting episode (where I went 'OMFG his arm got ^%$&* amputated x_x" ') but when I saw that smile, I was 100% sure it was him, risen up from the dead by the enemies and turned evil or something. That or Conrad has a clone or a brother. oh gawd two conrads ~_~ *sigh* (Yes, I was originally an only Conrad fan before I switched to Wolf/Yuu XD) /SPOILER
ANYWAY, Yuuri comments that the king doesn't sound nice. Murata agrees and says that he's really different from Yuuri. Morgif starts to make some noise and Yuuri tells him to shut up and Morgif surprisingly does XD. Murata seems to notice something odd and looks up at the podium where the king is at. Yuuri has no idea what's happening. ^^" (i don't have any idea either -_-)
The representative of the Big Shimaron steps into the arena and it's Wolfram who's going to fight first! He gives Yuuri the sheath of his sword, telling him that it will raise his spirits and not to worry.
/commence flailing
The representative from B.S. pulls out twin swords and Yuuri likens him to Musashi, who was a legendary swordsman in Japan (accdg. to the translator's note ^^"). Yuuri is definitely worried about that. He turns to Murata, asking him how Wolfram would be able to beat the enemy without using his Maryoku. But Murata is chilling out in his seat and says that Wolfram will be fine. Yuuri argues that Wolf once lost to him who was an amateur but Murata says, "Trust him a little more. You're his fiancé right?"
Yuuri says "That has nothing to do with this! But…" and then he looks at Wolfram, who began his attack.

Cut to commercial break.
The next scene shows Blood Pledge Castle and then there's Greta playing with a doll and Anissina doing some paperwork. It seems that Greta made a doll in Yuuri's likeness, (we hear Yuuri's voice saying 'You are my daughter, Greta' ) so she wouldn't be that lonely. (awwww… …but y'know if that doll could actually speak, it would totally creep me out -_-)
Awwww...
Anissina praises Greta's work and encourages her to try knitting. Greta replies, "Like what Gwendal does?" and it turns out that it was Anissina who taught Gwendal how to knit but he hasn't improved much. Greta points out to her the "piggy" that Gwendal made. (Gwendal's voice over: 'That's a kitty…' oh gawd if that piggy/kitty had Gwendal's voice LOLLLLLLL) Anissina replies that Greta could make something even cuter and she places the Yuuri-doll next to the Gunter-doll LOLXD
They both think the two dolls look good together:

Yuuri doesn't seem to agree tho' (he's miles away but he felt that something was definitely wrong XD):
His face here just cracks me up XDD
Murata notices it and Yuuri says that he suddenly had a bad feeling. XD
Then cut to Flynn and Dorcas again. They hear the crowds and Dorcas says that they must hurry. However, someone's following them!
It's Maxine! And he has Flynn hostaged!
Oh noes~ He says he's had enough! (Maxine is awfully drawn everywhere. Maybe because he's one of the bad guys? ^^")
Cut back to the arena where Wolf and the fighter from B.S. are . The enemy runs forward to attack but Wolf dodges him. Their swords clashed as represented by some bright light, then some more moving blur effect and Wolfram disarms him.
Um. Okay. -_- the only good thing in here is that we see a lot of Wolf's face XD but animation-wise, they should add more details or something. argh. Fail.
Yuuri refers to Wolf's attack as the swallow counter ^^. The enemy is shocked and made a move to retrieve his weapons but Wolfram threatens him with his sword (he looked really, really pissed off ^^" ) The winner is then declared to be Caloria, but people and the king don't look very happy .
Yuuri congratulates Wolfram (whom he called Kojiro first XD) but Wolfram seemed very exhausted as he collapsed on the bench. He says he feels very sick. Murata explains that it was because he was hit by Horyoku and since Wolfram's demon powers are kinda strong, he feels sicker. Yuuri asks if Wolfram pushed himself too hard but Wolf says it's better than having Yuuri fight.XD
Yozak puts a hand over Yuuri's shoulder and says that he will fight hard too. He gets a sword and went up to the arena just as Adelbert stood up and entered the arena as well. And finally, they face each other:
But then the camera zooms upward and there's Flynn and she's still being held hostage by Maxine! Maxine says that he will not let them win.
Back at the arena, Yuuri thinks that both Yozak and Adelbert are very strong. Wolfram (who's not sick anymore) agrees and says that their skills are equal. Yuuri then cheers for Yozak who turned around and said, "Leave it to me!". But just as quickly, he turns and attacks Adelbert! Adelbert dodges his attack and comments that what Yozak did was dangerous since the match hasn't officially started yet.
Yozak~ XD
Adelbert swings his sword to Yozak, who jumped away as they exchange some insults. (LOL) Yozak then says that regardless of the kind of sadness that Adelbert felt, he shouldn't have betrayed the Mazoku. Adelbert argues that the way of the Mazoku who are just slaves to Shinou only resulted in many casualties and should just be destroyed.
Yozak: Is that all you have to say?
Yozak says that Adelbert is only blinded with rage and that he'll have no sympathy, since as long as Adelbert is alive, Yuuri will be in danger. Then they started their fighting again.
In their dugout, Murata is approached by a guard bearing a letter.
(this is here only because blonde haired Murata is so adorable ^_^)
Yuuri asks if it's a fan letter but Murata suddenly stood up to look the balcony. He says, "We've been had" and points to Yuuri and Wolf where Flynn and Maxine are. Apparently, Maxine is demanding that they lose the match. Yuuri concludes that Maxine and Adelbert are still working together and decided that they should stop the match. Murata, being the voice of reason, tells him "Don't tell me you're going to speak to the referee and tell him that we're being blackmailed." and made Yuuri realize that it wouldn't work.
Wolfram: Listen, Yuuri. This is my opinion. We don't need to throw the match for that woman. You should allow Yozak to give all he has.
Yuuri: That's just you.
Wolfram: This is also my opinion. Since you're a wimp, you won't take my advice. (LOLLZ) You're not thinking of what may happen to you after Yozak's match.
Yuuri: I'm sorry for being a wimp and you even got a win for us. (Yuuri actually admitted he was a wimp? ^^")
Wolfram: Do you know why I follow you even though you're a wimp?
Yuuri: No. (gawd you don't know?? yuuri is the typical guy -_-)
Wolfram: Figure it out for yourself before you leave me. (LOL. What Wolfram, was it too much for your pride to admit? ^^)
Lol Murata's caught in between XD
Murata says that he'll think of a way to let it happen since it's Yuuri's will. He then began to make some crazy hand signals to Yozak:
Yozak was surprised at first but he seemed to understand:
Cut to the next scene, we see Dorcas tied and gagged, lying on the floor and some noble looking humans notice his feet sticking out from the dark hallway. They hurry to Dorcas' side and the blonde guy asks him what happened. The blonde guy unties the ropes and as soon as he was free, Dorcas thanked them and tells them that he needs to hurry.
Hm. Maybe you should take off what's covering his mouth first? ^^"
Cut back to Yozak and Adelbert. Adelbert is about to attack Yozak, but Yozak seems serious and isn’t doing anything. Adelbert senses something is not right, he sees Yozak sidestepping (? I can't really tell, they're not showing it~ it seems that Yozak is just sliding sideways -_-) and then more bright lights and a sword is thrown in the air. Yozak runs toward the sword but midway, he stops and says that he gives up. It seems that Yozak did understand what Murata was saying awhile ago ^_^
The second match winner is Big Shimaron. The people cheered and the king seemed pleased.
Adelbert is like, "WTF? You lost on purpose!" but Yozak ignores him as he approaches their dugout. Yuuri apologizes to Yozak but he says that it can't be helped. Murata notices that Adelbert isn't part of Maxine's plan after all, judging from Adelbert's reaction.
Yozak calls out to him an apology and says that the situation has changed. Adelbert's not happy ^^" and is demanding for a rematch. Yozak then asks Yuuri what they should do. It seems that Yuuri only realized that he was going to fight next after Yozak. XD
…are Big Shimaron's soldiers really short? Or Adelbert's just really taller than average? ^^" LOL
Cut to Maxine and Flynn. Maxine is surprised that the Mazoku lost a match to save a human. Flynn defends that being human or Mazoku doesn't matter because Yuuri and the others are trule kind. Maxine doesn't like that and tightens his strings on her, saying that such naïve things are worthless.
Just then, a whip comes out of nowhere and cuts off Maxine's string! Maxine turns around and sees….

Dominatrix: You villain! Let go of her! Or else my deadly whip will dance on you! I will not forgive those who dirty the beautiful! *some whip action yeah XD *
Maxine: Who the hell are you?
Dominatrix: As long as there is evil in this world, I will fight with love. The sexy hero, Cecille!

Okay. I was somewhat distracted because of the release of ep81 so I kind of incorporated my thoughts regarding the episode in the summary part. I'm so sorry if it confuses anyone ^^ Don't worry, I'll edit this tomorrow just in case and add some more stuff.
OH and on a not-so-random note, I wasn't sure at first in the spelling of Anissina's name so I googled it and this came up and I was like, OMG. Anissina is actually a real name and then my eyes went o_O. Anissina and Gwendal are names of this dance team from France that won the 2002 Olympics. LOL Anyway, I was wondering if the creator of KKM got the names for her characters from those two. ^_^

Greta replies, "Like what Gwendal does?" and it turns out that it was Anissina who taught Gwendal how to knit but he hasn't improved much. Greta points out to her the "piggy" that Gwendal made. (Gwendal's voice over: 'That's a kitty…' oh gawd if that piggy/kitty had Gwendal's voice LOLLLLLLL) Anissina replies that Greta could make something even cuter and she places the Yuuri-doll next to the Gunter-doll LOLXD
They both think the two dolls look good together:

Yuuri doesn't seem to agree tho' (he's miles away but he felt that something was definitely wrong XD):
His face here just cracks me up XDD
Murata notices it and Yuuri says that he suddenly had a bad feeling. XD
Then cut to Flynn and Dorcas again. They hear the crowds and Dorcas says that they must hurry. However, someone's following them!
It's Maxine! And he has Flynn hostaged!
Oh noes~ He says he's had enough! (Maxine is awfully drawn everywhere. Maybe because he's one of the bad guys? ^^")
Cut back to the arena where Wolf and the fighter from B.S. are . The enemy runs forward to attack but Wolf dodges him. Their swords clashed as represented by some bright light, then some more moving blur effect and Wolfram disarms him.
Um. Okay. -_- the only good thing in here is that we see a lot of Wolf's face XD but animation-wise, they should add more details or something. argh. Fail.
Yuuri refers to Wolf's attack as the swallow counter ^^. The enemy is shocked and made a move to retrieve his weapons but Wolfram threatens him with his sword (he looked really, really pissed off ^^" ) The winner is then declared to be Caloria, but people and the king don't look very happy .
Yuuri congratulates Wolfram (whom he called Kojiro first XD) but Wolfram seemed very exhausted as he collapsed on the bench. He says he feels very sick. Murata explains that it was because he was hit by Horyoku and since Wolfram's demon powers are kinda strong, he feels sicker. Yuuri asks if Wolfram pushed himself too hard but Wolf says it's better than having Yuuri fight.XD
Yozak puts a hand over Yuuri's shoulder and says that he will fight hard too. He gets a sword and went up to the arena just as Adelbert stood up and entered the arena as well. And finally, they face each other:
But then the camera zooms upward and there's Flynn and she's still being held hostage by Maxine! Maxine says that he will not let them win.
Back at the arena, Yuuri thinks that both Yozak and Adelbert are very strong. Wolfram (who's not sick anymore) agrees and says that their skills are equal. Yuuri then cheers for Yozak who turned around and said, "Leave it to me!". But just as quickly, he turns and attacks Adelbert! Adelbert dodges his attack and comments that what Yozak did was dangerous since the match hasn't officially started yet.

Adelbert swings his sword to Yozak, who jumped away as they exchange some insults. (LOL) Yozak then says that regardless of the kind of sadness that Adelbert felt, he shouldn't have betrayed the Mazoku. Adelbert argues that the way of the Mazoku who are just slaves to Shinou only resulted in many casualties and should just be destroyed.
Yozak: Is that all you have to say?
Yozak says that Adelbert is only blinded with rage and that he'll have no sympathy, since as long as Adelbert is alive, Yuuri will be in danger. Then they started their fighting again.
In their dugout, Murata is approached by a guard bearing a letter.
(this is here only because blonde haired Murata is so adorable ^_^)
Yuuri asks if it's a fan letter but Murata suddenly stood up to look the balcony. He says, "We've been had" and points to Yuuri and Wolf where Flynn and Maxine are. Apparently, Maxine is demanding that they lose the match. Yuuri concludes that Maxine and Adelbert are still working together and decided that they should stop the match. Murata, being the voice of reason, tells him "Don't tell me you're going to speak to the referee and tell him that we're being blackmailed." and made Yuuri realize that it wouldn't work.
Wolfram: Listen, Yuuri. This is my opinion. We don't need to throw the match for that woman. You should allow Yozak to give all he has.
Yuuri: That's just you.
Wolfram: This is also my opinion. Since you're a wimp, you won't take my advice. (LOLLZ) You're not thinking of what may happen to you after Yozak's match.
Yuuri: I'm sorry for being a wimp and you even got a win for us. (Yuuri actually admitted he was a wimp? ^^")
Wolfram: Do you know why I follow you even though you're a wimp?
Yuuri: No. (gawd you don't know?? yuuri is the typical guy -_-)
Wolfram: Figure it out for yourself before you leave me. (LOL. What Wolfram, was it too much for your pride to admit? ^^)
Lol Murata's caught in between XD
Murata says that he'll think of a way to let it happen since it's Yuuri's will. He then began to make some crazy hand signals to Yozak:
Yozak was surprised at first but he seemed to understand:
Cut to the next scene, we see Dorcas tied and gagged, lying on the floor and some noble looking humans notice his feet sticking out from the dark hallway. They hurry to Dorcas' side and the blonde guy asks him what happened. The blonde guy unties the ropes and as soon as he was free, Dorcas thanked them and tells them that he needs to hurry.
Hm. Maybe you should take off what's covering his mouth first? ^^"
Cut back to Yozak and Adelbert. Adelbert is about to attack Yozak, but Yozak seems serious and isn’t doing anything. Adelbert senses something is not right, he sees Yozak sidestepping (? I can't really tell, they're not showing it~ it seems that Yozak is just sliding sideways -_-) and then more bright lights and a sword is thrown in the air. Yozak runs toward the sword but midway, he stops and says that he gives up. It seems that Yozak did understand what Murata was saying awhile ago ^_^
The second match winner is Big Shimaron. The people cheered and the king seemed pleased.
Adelbert is like, "WTF? You lost on purpose!" but Yozak ignores him as he approaches their dugout. Yuuri apologizes to Yozak but he says that it can't be helped. Murata notices that Adelbert isn't part of Maxine's plan after all, judging from Adelbert's reaction.
Yozak calls out to him an apology and says that the situation has changed. Adelbert's not happy ^^" and is demanding for a rematch. Yozak then asks Yuuri what they should do. It seems that Yuuri only realized that he was going to fight next after Yozak. XD
…are Big Shimaron's soldiers really short? Or Adelbert's just really taller than average? ^^" LOL
Cut to Maxine and Flynn. Maxine is surprised that the Mazoku lost a match to save a human. Flynn defends that being human or Mazoku doesn't matter because Yuuri and the others are trule kind. Maxine doesn't like that and tightens his strings on her, saying that such naïve things are worthless.
Just then, a whip comes out of nowhere and cuts off Maxine's string! Maxine turns around and sees….

Dominatrix: You villain! Let go of her! Or else my deadly whip will dance on you! I will not forgive those who dirty the beautiful! *some whip action yeah XD *
Maxine: Who the hell are you?
Dominatrix: As long as there is evil in this world, I will fight with love. The sexy hero, Cecille!

Okay. I was somewhat distracted because of the release of ep81 so I kind of incorporated my thoughts regarding the episode in the summary part. I'm so sorry if it confuses anyone ^^ Don't worry, I'll edit this tomorrow just in case and add some more stuff.
OH and on a not-so-random note, I wasn't sure at first in the spelling of Anissina's name so I googled it and this came up and I was like, OMG. Anissina is actually a real name and then my eyes went o_O. Anissina and Gwendal are names of this dance team from France that won the 2002 Olympics. LOL Anyway, I was wondering if the creator of KKM got the names for her characters from those two. ^_^
