We begin with Gunter being escorted into Bob’s glass ‘n’ steel “Castle” by Hot Secretary Lady. Gunter is impressed by the splendor…except for the damp floor.
Gunter is grateful to Hot Secretary Lady for bringing him to Yuuri, but she looks like she has evil plans up her designer sleeve.
The magic on the top level fades and everyone seems to have ducked and covered.
Bob’s golden glowy eyes are darn impressive.
Everyone seems okay. Murata confirms that the flash was magic. Duh.
Shouri notes that it’s the same power Bob used back when they first met. Only, y’know, bigger.
Jose asks Bob if he’s really serious. Bob says that was his final warning, and he won’t be nice from how on. Duh again.
Yuuri wants to talk, and Murata says that Bob probably has the box in his possession.
Bob isn’t keen on sending his Magic Box back to the Demon Kingdom.
Gwendal and Wolfram demand satisfaction!
Conrart says that when he came to Earth before, Bob helped him! And lo, a flashback!
Ooh, Conrart with longer hair… *ahem* I mean, Smilin’ Bob!
Conrart wants to know why he is doing this. And for that matter, why doesn’t he age?
Jennifer wants in on the beauty secret, but Shouma stops her, and notes that Bob hasn’t changed since he was a boy either.
Shouri demands an explanation, as Bob’s successor.
Everyone is shocked.
Bob says that he made a pledge with “Ancestors” never to return the box to the Demon Kingdom.
A snap of his fingers, and Gunter is on TV!
Yuuri wants to know what he’s doing there.
Hot Secretary has a gun to Gunter’s back! Bob says that if Yuuri does what he wants, he’ll release Gunter.
Yuuri demands his release anyway, and Gunter tells Yuuri not to worry about him. Hot Secretary Lady fires in the air, and now Gunter’s rethinking…
Jose doesn’t know what to do, but Yuuri does. He demands that Bob stop the madness!
Bob’s not having it. He says that one who’s not willing to make a sacrifice for something important doesn’t deserve to be King.
Yuuri resents that insinuation!
Bob asks Yuuri again to choose: Gunter’s life or the box.
Pan shots of everyone looking shell-shocked.
Yuuri is glowing, and announces that he’ll give up nothing. Oh, it’s on now!
Storm clouds roll in, gale-force winds blow, and Yuuri is in Maou-mode!
Gwendal is surprised that Yuuri can use magic on Earth as well.
Maou!Yuuri is, as usual, pissed.
Jennifer is impressed.
Bob’s eyes go all glowy, and cue Round One. Fight!
Everyone looks on as the two Maous go through the ceiling and proceed to become streaks of light in the sky.
Gunter deftly plucks the gun out of Hot Secretary’s hand and asks her to take him to where Yuuri is.
A few more blows are exchanged, and by now everyone’s on the roof.
Bob looks to Shouri and murmurs, “I’ll leave it to you” and then powers down.
Maou!Yuuri pronounces justice and attacks!
Shouri jumps in the way and blocks the attack from hitting Bob…and then flies off the roof.
Eyecatch!
Conrart manages to snag Shouri before he plummets to an untimely demise.
Yuuri turns back to normal and comes over to ask if Shouri’s okay.
Shouri is shocked that he used magic to save Bob.
Jennifer glomps her favorite boys.
Murata notes that the Shibuya family defies convention. You can say that again, Murata!
Gwendal holds his sword to Bob, but Conrart says that it’s not necessary, that Bob never intended to fight them.
Shouri asks if he was testing Yuuri. Shouma offers Bob a hand and helps him up, noting how awesome his boys are. <3
Conrart also thinks that both worlds are fortunate to have the brothers as Kings.
Gunter arrives and greets Yuuri in his customary way.
Shouri takes exception! And Jennifer wants to be “introduced.”
Bob finally agrees to spill the beans, saying that he can entrust Yuuri with the vow he gave his Ancestors.
Meanwhile, on a large yacht… there’s an island. Where the Demon Tribe of Earth came into existence.
Murata explains that the Demons of Earth originally came from the other world. We see a flashback in which two brothers decide to send the box, along with one of them, to Earth to protect it.
Bob explains that the younger brother blended in with the humans, fell in love, and protected his family line. Hence, the Demon Tribe of Earth was born.
Bob leads everyone into a cave, explaining that most of the Earth Demons with magic died out, but they never forgot the pledge to their homeland to keep the box safe.
And lo, the Mirror at the Bottom of the Sea!
Jennifer thought it would be jewel encrusted, or something.
Bob says that even though the vow was to not let the box go back to the Demon Kingdom, he feels that Yuuri can keep the box safe better than he can.
Bob says that he can entrust his burden to the young. Shouri reminds him that he’s not quite at retirement yet.
Yuuri asks if they can use the lake to get back to the other world, but Murata says that since the passage it set up through Japan it might be difficult for Ulrike.
Wolfram accuses his wimp fiancé of trying to take the easy way out.
Back in Japan, Yuuri is relieved that they got back safely.
The local girls think the Demon boys are hot. Don’t we all? Oh, and they know of Gunter from his modeling career.
Yuuri is dismayed.
What better way to get back to the other world than a blow-up kiddie pool in the backyard?
Jennifer is backing souvenirs. And suggests that they pack the Forbidden Box full of them.
Wolfram smiles happily at Jennifer, and Wolfram thinks he considers Yuuri’s parents his in-laws now.
Wearing an…interesting array of towel designs, the boys head back home.
Meanwhile, at Casa de Bob, Jose and Hot Secretary are on cleanup duty. And Bob thinks that things worked out well… but hoped nothing bodes ill on the horizon.
Sorry for the lack of ‘thoughts on the episode,’ but I’m on my way out of town. Enjoy the week, everyone!
