When I started to write this, I had your sentence, an idea of the plot, and that last sentence in mind. Most of my work was figuring out how to connect the two sentences. I'm glad you enjoyed!

This is beautiful, it bought tears to my eyes. You had a wonderful line to began with and you ended it with another wonderful line. It was nice that Kara had Helo to help her grieve, so sad that Lee didn't have that in canon.

This really does mean a lot because I dove into this fic with the first sentence (provided by trappermcintyre), an idea of where I wanted to take the story, and that last sentence. It was just one of those things that came to me when I was fleshing out my ideas for the story, and I worked hard to make sure that that line could be the end without having the story feel like there's something missing between the beginning and end.

I don't think that we've met before. I'm Emily, nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot about you through K and other people around fandom. Reshma, right?

Mutual friends (K, mostly), and lots of fic-hunting around fandom have made your name familiar. I was prowling around LJ before I ever made an account and got involved in no_takebacks.

Bah. Maelstrom was nothing compared to the end of Daybreak. I mean, I didn't know how she'd be back after Maelstrom, but I knew she'd be back. This wasn't Joss, after all, so Starbuck was coming back. And yes, angst or not, making a reader feel something is a good thing. I'm of relatively good health. heeheehee
