Texting= FAIL!

What is the deal with texting being god and all other methods of communication are ignored??? We have two friends who will NEVER answer their cell phones-- even equipped as they are with caller ID. You have to either leave them a voicemail and wait for them to call you immediately back, or text them and get an immediate response! What is the ( Read more... )

I know, its SO stupid, like you cant take two seconds of your time and just answer the phone. uggh! i wish we could just get rid of technology and go back to how it was before we had problems conversing face to face, or even voice to voice..Technology is sucking our souls!

It's true!! I saw a stand-up comic's routine recently where he was talking about how technology has taken the joy out of phonecalls being a mysterious surprise! You never knew if it was going to be a long-lost friend...a relative you miss...so you always ran for the phone when it rang, just in case!

I hear ya, so much faster to email. However, in their defense, I don't like to talk on the phone when I'm at work cuz we're all in cubes. And FB is blocked. Then when I get home, I sometimes don't get online until the baby's asleep.

But yeah, it's crazy how people are nowadays with the texting. It drives me even more nuts when people are doing it when we are hanging out, carrying on some long conversation with another person while I'm talking to them in person. I'm all for multi-tasking, but c'mon can I get your full attention when we're together?

Yeah-- I don't want to be a hypocrite and say that I've never ignored the phone when it rang and then listened to the message and called back when it was more convenient because I have. It just blew my mind how fast their little fingers typed to text me right back after all else failed! It was like they had magical time-slowing-powers! And I wondered why they didn't respond to the E-mails if they just didn't want to talk on the phone!

Yeah-- the texting while supposedly having a one-on-one conversation with someone right next to you is evil! Me and my sister took our kids out trick-or-treating, and she did that the entire time while I was trying to talk to he! I was glad I had my 1-year old to keep me company after a while!

Yeah-- I'm sad we couldn't get something together, too! The Boy makes it especially hard because he only stays for like 2-3 days when he comes in town! I think he secretly doesn't like the family or something! :(

You never know when Stacey and David will be back in town at the same time! It makes it especially hard with Stacey having to fly in from NYC and it's always one of the parents paying for her ticket! (when's that acting going to pay off??)
