Because then everyone would have deja vu at the same moment. :-) Unless you are referring to a localized time distortion in which case you'd need a gravity well generator and the ability to remove yourself from space time. :-)

I prefer to think that people don't give themselves enough credit for deja vu. We have an enormous capacity to prepare ourselves for contingencies including sometimes mental keyframes that match certain attributes of the actual events which then generate a feeling of comfortability, security and perhaps familiarity.

Or ... the time thing. ;-)

think we could get a hand on a gravity well generator? it'd be fun :)

i remember the first time i had deja vu... i was 7 years old, in sunday school, and for some reason we got cookies that day, and i said to the girl in front of me, 'yay, we get to have cookies two weeks in a row!' and the girl replied back, 'we didn't get any cookies last week' at me like... 'you're weird...' and some other kid agreed with her... 'you're weird...'

but yet i remembered being in line in sunday school waiting for cookies...

sooo... a gravity well generator would be nice... i'd go back and get some more cookies :)

Or we are in a computer program and every time they change or "up load" something new, have a deja vu.
