This is an excerpt from what I wrote in my super-seecrit journal this evening, oddly enough.

"ANYWAY. I just have mixed feelings about things. People each have so many different sides to their stories, and no matter how much we think we know somebody, there will always be something that makes them who they are that we will NEVER understand. We can try, and that's what makes a true friendship and true love, but in the long run, we can't live in their shoes or see through their eyes. That's where empathy comes in."
