Considering that this place seems to have basically given you the shaft for a while now, give them their two weeks notice, and nothing more.

That's my two cents, anyway.

I would take the vacation while you can. Even if it's just sitting at home relaxing and not doing anything.

Yeah, so far the response has been overwhelming and unanimous in favor of taking the week off.

Further proving that I am a little off for being conflicted over it. :)

They showed you very little loyalty in response to your good work there. Obviously you've been taken for granted there. Two weeks is good enough.

For me, the question would be the value of a week off vs. the additional week's pay you'd pull by working the full 3 weeks.

Do you need the money?

If not, take a stay-at-home vacation or pick a spot and go there.

I don't know what you should do, because I don't know what you are really interested in these days. I do know that it should not be work.
