First, I'm sorry for the long delay in commenting. I had one drafted then life seriously distracted me.

Much lire the first past, this felt rather jumpy, like time was moving very fast. It was almost like watching a TV show with quick cuts between scenes. That said, I like this story overall. It feels like it's part of a larger work, which I'm sure is what you were going for. I like the way you brought in Babs, and I think is interesting that you spill the secret identity beans so quickly. Jen here is interesting as well. I take it there will be more Penguin in the next story? I hope so. I'm looking forward to reading it.

It takes place over a weekend. *Shrugs*

The secret identity: the implication that Gordon is too stupid to figure out who Batman is has always irked me. I'll let them have it because it's canon to TDKR, but Gordon and Blake spent months together during the Occupation and Blake's not as good as hiding it as he thinks he is. And Gordon knows his daughter.

Now for Blake and Babs figuring each other out that was to show while they don't have Bruce's ninja experience, they are both natural detectives. Blake figured out Babs was Oracle when they were in the bunker.

Next story: *Sigh* the muse has abandoned Signs and Portents series for the what-if that rewrites TDKR. Hopefully Man of Steel will jump start this series again, because right now, I've got nothing.

You can at least jump back and read Forgiveness is for the Living.
