So the tattoo ideas have been running through my head all day and I think I have somewhat decided on what I would get, if I ever actually do this. A friend wisely advised that all tattooing be first sampled by a Sharpie test. Wear the Sharpie version for a few weeks and then decide on changes.

It helps with getting the subtleties down, I am told. Someday I need to make up my mind and get one.
