Even Christmas can't be saved from the political bullshit.
I find this "Decorated Evergreen Tree" as absurd as the video clip to which it's linked.
I'd like to hear one of those assholes, just one, complain about the week or more of paid leave you get, courtesy of Christmas. I'd like to see them pull their heads out of their asses and take notice of the fact that the Christmas tree was actually started as a pagan holiday, and that Christians merely merged it with their birth-of-Christ celebrations that took place at the same time of the year, with the flimsy link that we give one another gifts because God gave us the greatest gift of all in the form of Jesus.
Now I'm not advocating that everyone celebrate Christmas. I'm just disgusted that people can't leave others alone to celebrate the holidays of their choosing. If the white house puts a Christmas tree up, who cares? Not me. And as far as not singing Christmas songs in schools, you can't tell me there's anything religious about "Jingle Bells" or "Winter Wonderland" except for the fact that they indirectly relate to a holiday that has become known as a Christian celebration, so let's ban them! I never sung any of those songs when I was a kid anyway, I would just move my mouth a little, and only if the teacher was looking. Man, I hate it when intolerant people preach about intolerance.
