Despite the sad loss of Hoover, the cory catfish and the ongoing mystery surrounding his demise.... life in my new aquarium goes on. Ain't they pretty!!!
Aha! you identified my main suspect! That sucking loach was always hanging around the scene of the murder/suicide....I know he had something to do with it! Trust me to provide a home for murderous psychofish.....
Hmmmm. I think the eyes of the right hand fish are pretty much saying what he's thinking; "BLUB, blub, blub". Ten seconds later the sweet little fishie, having forgotten what he thought previously, says to himself "blub, blub, blub". Of course, the healing properties of watching such lovingly uncomplicated feats of thinking, are logical...
oooh, much like spending a few hours in your presence then! Actually, I agree totally with m_isanthrope, that fish is cold and calculating and definitely capable of murder! (mother chose him, need I add more??) Paradoxically, Xaverl the red tail shark (bottom pic) is being un-sharklikely lovely! (may get another one in black with red....goff shark! :)
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.......lovely feeeeeeeshy-weeeeshies ! we had 2 loaches - and both died without so much as a 'thanks for the algae' ! we did also have the most GORGEOUS blue/purple betta, called 'the captain' - but he sadly died last year :( weve got some marauding tiger barbs, big auld fat black widow tetras, scissortails, neon tetras and danios though...they sooo prettty and swimmy *squuuueeeee* sorry - im a bit batty about fishes and kitty-kats - esp together - our fig (our lovely black and white cat) STILL provides ocassional entertainment by having a lazy dab at the tank every now and again - just to remind them "IM WATCHIN YOUUUUU" :)
Yeah!!! Fishies are great!!! As it's a new tank (though the filter seems to be amazingly good) I've kept it to few hardy types of fish (exept for bad advice on the rummy-nose tetras). Hopefully going to add a few more when I'm sure it's all stable...possibly another cory (they're so cute n' whiskery), another red-tail shark and maybe a few glowlight danios... Have been mesmerised by fishtanks since I was v tiny...but never had one before! (actually was beginning of my being veggie...remember being about 2or3 and making connection between "pretty swimmy thing in tank" and "nasty dead thing on plate" ....thought of it made me sick ever since) Mum thought it might be therapeutic for me to have some pets at the moment (whoopee!) Want to move up to a big marine tank eventually (oooh, corals, anenomes, crustaceans...and the prettiest fishies!!!!) ...a kitty-cat or bunny would be even lovelier though!
OOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooh...dont get me STARTED on marine fishes !!!! - oh my god !! - a beautiful big marine tank ! wouldnt that be HEAVEN ?? ~CUE - Blofeld/smursh agent/Dr Evil type scene in an underground lair...."you liiiike my feeeeshees meeeeester BOND" (while stroking a big fluffy cat~OBLIGATORY!)....underground lair....god wouldnt that be MINT ! - can we find and hollow out a nearby volcano ? - sorry im in a daft mood

Heeeheee! No way, I've been wibbling on in much the same way since getting my tank (me and mum were embarassing various aquatic shop staff by squealing and jumping up and down at the sight of all the pretty fisshheeees
