A witch took your stuff. This level of reasoning is only possible for the Great Mao.

What do you think, newcomer?

Mayfield. And you can say goodbye to your "stuff" until the town decides to give it back.

[Anyone who assaulted his ears in such an unpleasant way deserved no sympathy.]

Never heard of it. And what do you mean, until the town decides?

Just what it sounds like. Sometimes you get some of your things mailed to you by the town. Items and abilities. And no, before you ask, you don't get to decide what or when.

The hell do you mean, abil -

[And then it hits him. That thing he felt like he's missing? He focuses and tries to pull a picture frame from across the room to his hand, and...absolutely nothing happens.

He's human. Or a demon without any powers at all, which is basically the same thing but worse.]

Welcome to Mayfield. If you're operating under the assumption that the louder you shout, the more likely you are to get your way, allow me to dissuade you otherwise.

Hey, I'm in a strange place, someone stole all my stuff, and all I'm getting from people are place names that don't tell me anything and etiquette tips. Maybe I just feel like shouting.

Etiquette tips for your express benefit. The louder you shout, you see, the more likely you are to be punished. You may as well learn to control your anger from the start.

The summary is fairly simple in its own way. You've been kidnapped. You've been relieved of your belongings and anything that separates you from a normal human being -- That includes supernatural powers and non-human heritage. They will be returned slowly, following especially traumatic 'pranks' of a sort. Finally, failure to behave will result in temporary or permanent brainwashing.

Questions?

[Following his yell is a very long pause. ... .... ....... ............. Well.

Liz is gone for real now.

Saya sighs. So much for having a spare drone in the house.

She walks out of her room and opens the door next to her, poking her head in,]

... umm... brother, please be quiet? Saya is trying to study for her test tomorrow~

[Look at her look at her innocent can you not be swayed by that?]

[By being a huge jerk, apparently. Lyn just gives her an angry glare.] Good for you. And I'm not your brother.

[Undaunted, she continues being good-natured, despite how much she may want to kill him inside.]

You are now.

Don't be so loud or I'll make mom come upstairs and give you a talk.

Then you'll be sorry.
