Just so you know, I have no money and I'm going to a fairly expensive school. Luckily I have aid but anyway, it isn't the price that matters. What matters is that it makes you happy. I love it here! It's the best time of my life.
Go with what makes you happy and nothing else will matter.

plus who isn't going to be in debt after college? I'm going for $9000 a year.... that's still $54000 once I get my MFA.... I say everyone quit bitching about debt, because nobody is well off at the age of 26 unless their parents pay everything... and frankly I'd rather have the debt than have my dad pay for it... I'm 18 years old, it's my problem now. Good luck Chris, and Patty I'm glad you're doing well... ECON IS OVER!!!!

Yeah, I'm doing awesome and my tuition a year is $25,000... but I only have to pay $17 something of it because I got some aid.
Thank GOD econ is over! What a nightmare... but Mr. Stacy was okay... I was thinking about visiting him just to bug the hell out of him... I'm sure he wouldn't care.
Chris, you are awesome and can do anything. Just so you know ;-) *Huggles*
Chris, a ridiculous amount of aid is given away each year at our school for those who apply for it and you know what? THE SAME FRIGGIN THREE PEOPLE GET IT because they're the ones who applied. Get into the college you like and see how the aid situation works out. You're not just going to school there, you're living there for four years of your life, so you have to be happy with it (that was the big influence of my decision). If you go looking for aid and do the little bit of extra work it requires, you will be rewarded.
Plus, interest on college loans is sometimes pretty low. There are kids here at SU who have to pay off everything and have to manage it. If they can, anyone can.

if you plan to go to grad school, then it doesn't matter that much where you do your undergrad, so cheap is fine because most people/places/employers will only care where your grad stuff is from.
and true that most expensive schools will give you lots o' aid. plus student loans are the best kind of debt interest-wise and payback-wise since they are designed for poor recent grads.
and finally, if you rotc it, i will kick your ass and you will no longer get to be my favorite. and i think you surpass their limit on kidneys so they wouldn't take you anyway.
so i vote #1 or #3 or the first part of #2. yeah, i vote everything except the second part of #2.
