Amy placed as runner-up in the school spelling be Friday, beating out all but 1 other 5th grader. (not bad for a 4th grader, huh?) Now she moves on to the next level. Yay!Happyfeet!
Perhaps I should be more specific. The 'modern' side of Art Deco... or is it called contemporary? Yaknow... stuff like this. Only less expensive. That European/Oriental look, with a bit of George Jetson. Retro? Edward Sissorhands? Gotham-ite?
I'd reeaaaally like to find one of those kitchenette tables with the funky swirly triangle designs in the formica and squarish vinyl chairs. And one of those pointy clocks. That sort of stuff. Geo-metric groovy. I'll only wear black turtlenecks to eat at it and call people 'cat' and 'daddy'. Maybe even 'catdaddy'. Then we'll put a little jazz on the turntable and chiiiilll....
