Well first off, Happy belated not dead yet Day to Panny. And while I was not able to make it to the shin dig, I was there, on the answering machine. Hopefully you heard me.
Though with the vast number of non-phone answering individuals all crammed into one space, I suppose I could not expect the phone to be answered, the percentages of it not ( Read more... )

Oh stop going on about how fat you are. You're like the size 4 girl who doesn't eat dessert- still skinnier than the rest of us.

For the record, I DO answer my phone if I hear it ringing, which is not - historically - what you get when ringing up Pantarch Palace. (To his credit, he has gotten better about this.)

Sorry to hear about the mugging, but I guess all those years of aikido are for naught, eh? Still glad you came out of it physically unscathed.

And, um... what's the dig about me liking to bike? While I don't actually own one, I always enjoyed it when I did. Just because I don't make a hobby of it... you might as well talk about how much I love needlepoint and windsurfing as well.

Also, Comic-Con would definitely be fun in the Seeing You Dept., but otherwise I'm content these days to get my con-kicks at WonderCon up here in the Bay Area. (And even then, I heven't been to one in about 5 years.) Seeing as how I'm not one to haunt the musky innards of a comic shop anymore there's really not much there for me, aside from the obligatory cosplaying cuties... and the creepy feelings that follow.

Yo, is Cookie Puss there? Only way t' git a bitch to answer is t' text a bitch. Seriously, invade the confines of musty old comic shop and try out the MPD, disturbing and curious.

I dunno, I heard that shit is deadly.

Incidentally, I only replied because I heard the phone DING when the message arrived (which is the sound it makes when my account gets charged, I imaging). Had it rung I would have actually answered.

Anyway, I'm heading to the Metreon tonight, where there is a Things From Another World store, so I'll pop in and nab it if they have it.

I can't seem to find much about it online, other than the cover, but I certainly trust you in this matter - so it must be great.

Its not action heavy, but a solid crime suspense piece that got me hooked, and its only the first volume. Evidently they turned it into a TV series in Japan, but how they did that is beyond me concerning some of the disturbing content. Sort of like Twin Peaks meets 7, not that anything could equal Twn Peaks, but its got that outlandish vibe that only manga can bring.

Looks like I'll be headed out SD way from September 10th through the 21st for training in my new job. Hopefully will have a little free time to spend with the Klinkmeister. Sounds like you need a big strong man to protect you when you go shopping. If only you would get mugged by people who knew Akido then you might have a chance.

... or attacked by someone with a pointed stick.

I'll take the jab, pointed stick and all, but what you boys are missing here is that through non resistance, I achieved perfect oneness with my potential adversaries. When they reached for the wallet, they got a ratty old piece of empty leather (not unlike when you reach for Klink!) Perfection of technique=no technique...
