Good lord, you know, Klink, I have been thinking about you for days, but I thought -- as most folks do -- that you must be far away from this. Jesus, please be careful and know that those of us in the Midwest are thinking about you.

Take care of yourself Cail. You know, Loveland And A Basin are open now. You could always flee CA for CO and have an early Ski vacation.

Wow. I never did have a good concept of where you are at these days, but seeing as how pretty much all of San Diego County is on fire, I should have figured you were close. Where I am so far there is just the smokey sky with the weird apocalyptic red sun blazing through. Stay safe, Klink!

I actually logged into LJ to issue a post asking if/how you are affected. Guess I could have sent a text message, but I'm just not into that cheerleader shit. (Oh, but I have a Myspace page. Well, we pick our battles.)

We watched the news last night for the first time in awhile and finally got a sense of how bad it really is, so I was worried.

Glad you managed to get out a dispatch letting us know, and even more gladderer that you're okay.

Wet towels, my friend.
Lots of wet towels.
And gobs of earnest prayers.

Stay not-crispy, please!
