Are you shopping in Chicago proper or somewhere closer to where you're staying (you're rooming with your mom's boyfriend's family right? I can't remember what you said in your last post)? If you're going to Chicago, hit Michigan Avenue...it's THE spot for shopping in Chicago...over a mile of mile-high shops (to put it this way, Borders bookstore takes up five stories). The last time I was there (which I think was three years ago), there was a Sony store on Michigan Avenue that sold anything from PlayStations to digital cameras to tvs, so I'm sure you could comparison shop and check out their Vaio laptops there. I don't know if it's still there or not; I think my dad said that last time he was there (two years ago I guess), it was gone...maybe they just relocated to a bigger shop? It was seriously no bigger than a modest two-story house. Regardless, Michigan Avenue is a great place to go shopping...and if you go there, you have GOT to visit Hammacher and Schlemer (I don't remember if that's the right spelling though). It's a fun
