Burned by the Sun

For those of you who doubted my status as an Oregonian so pasty-white as to put everyone but albinos to shame, I just got sunburned today while walking the dog and mowing the lawn. In the afternoon. I wasn't outside for more than an hour, and I wasn't even in full sunlight the whole time. Sheesh. Thank you, desk job. Oh, and while I'm handing

I actually turned a slight shade of red a couple weekends ago after hanging out at the beach all day and falling asleep in the sun for an hour without any sunblock on my chest. Hmm... so this is what peeling is like...

I guess my desk jobs have kept me away from the sun for too long. At least I'll get my fair share of tropical winter sun in the Philippines and Hawaii this Nov/Dec.

Btw, I know what you mean about living alone. I've had this 2-story, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse to myself for the past few months. It's definitely been an adjustment, and I wouldn't mind a roommate.
