Less than half an hour before I left work yesterday, I was given the news that a co-worker whose desk is about 10 feet away from mine will not be returning to work... on account that she was murdered last night ( Read more... )

Wow, Kly... what a blow. My mouth literally fell open. It leaves way too much to the imagination, someone you sat near day after day like that. You ok, hon?

(((((((hugs)))))))

Sometimes, life drops a bombshell on us like that to remind us of just what you say here. Cruising thru life on auto-pilot will get you thru life but you miss out on not WHAT but WHO is important.

(((((((hugs again))))))) Share this hug around for me? Thank you, sweetie. And thanks for posting this. <3

Thanks, Capi. I *did* post it on my FB and Google+ pages... but I guess since I don't post very much, I'm not on everybody's news feeds, and most of my stuff goes unseen.

It's really hard (impossible?) to keep track of everyone's posts in FB. It moves faster than an escalator, and you can only keep track of *right now* and that's IF you have time for it. I've kind of given up on it. You could waste your whole life trying to keep up and still miss something vital. And OH THE GUILT! No, i've stepped out of the rushing river and just kind of dabble on the edges where the current isn't so swift. I expect others are likely doing the same.

I agree about FB - which is why I try to keep my friends list to a minimum. Still, I know so many folks who have huge lists, I know my stuff usually gets lost in the shuffle.

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear that, that sort of thing can really shake a person. You are right though, just just never know when will be the last time you talk to someone. (Speaking of which, I never found you on Facebook, sorry. I'll go look for you now).
