Kevin Kevin Kevin, did you never learn from my sage actions when I was apathetic towards him senior year? You've said that you need the two weeks notice, no one ever said you were available for band practice. Just don't go, and when he asks, tell him you had a prior commitment (that being doing anything else, but he usually won't ask what). Never agree to the practices, even though he thinks that there is nothing above band. Before senior year I went to Hawaii with my parents, it just happened to go over early week. I told him I wasn't going to be there because I was going on vacation with the family. He tried to make plans otherwise and my mom sat in his office and laid it out on him about advanced warning and everything (trip planned and paid for well before he told us the dates), from then on, any time he tried to pull a fast one on me, I told him he didn't give me enough warning so I couldn't guarantee I would be there and he couldn't make my grade depend on it. He's very easy to manipulate by using his own words and actions

It is not in my nature to try and ruin relationships with people I'm around frequently.

Kevin, you're really good about complaining about things to the wrong people. We can sympathize with you (or not in my case) but your problem isn't going to go away until you talk to Mr. Kim. Everyone is beyond stressed this year because of a million different things. If you don't tell him what's going on and just keep going to practices then you're just letting it happen. Unless all that swearing and talk was just for show, it's pretty clear that you don't have much of a relationship with Mr. Kim, so why would you worry about damaging it?

My relationship with Mr. Kim is that at every semester, he gives me a grade. Even though I hate the 'hypocritimus' (Everett Phillips, 200#), I don't want him to feel the same way about me, because that's what matters.

im so happy im quitting band next year. i am doing so for exactly this reason. as well as the fact that mr. kim is against me/anyone doing ANYTHING which might take 5 seconds out of band.
