I don't remember if I have written here about the Rudd Center, but if not, allow me to say that I am grateful that they are doing the work they're doing. Hmm. Interesting. I never actually thought about some of the really practical things-- like scales that only go up to 300 and too-small blood pressure cuffs. I don't think anyone has ever mentioned these things to me either. The self assessment tools are interesting too and seem like something that would be useful beyond just healthcare settings.

The Rudd center suggested considering obesity a pandemic disease. Is this how you understand it?

I don't know. Mostly I am concerned with a much more micro level of lifting the boot of fat hatred off my neck a few inches so I can breathe.
