I had two journal entries I wanted to post about my whole "dual writing identity" thing I've had going on for the last decade or so. Originally I was going to write this one second, after an entry where I explained just why I decided to "out" myself at all, as it were, but after thinking about it some more, I decided to go with this entry here,

So why did you use a different name to publish them?

And as an aside, I would much rather read a good sociopolitical thriller than something that needs to cram gay sex in. I am not saying I don't enjoy gay sex, but I'd rather it be a situation where it is in there because it somehow advances the story line rather than simply to be there.

In fact for a long time I avoided mature furry fiction because I thought all it would be would be sex with the merest facade of a plot. It was only because a friend had Volle and highly recommended it that I gave it a try.

So... I am looking forward to reading your novels.

So why did you use a different name to publish them?

Well, the short answer is that I was too proud of what I'd written to not put my real name on it. :)

Oh that makes sense; I hadn't realized that was your real name, although I did notice it wasn't a standard "furry" name..

I was originally going to ask why you chose to use a different pseudonym; looks like my decision to change that phrasing was a good idea.
