First of all, thank you so much for agreeing to participate in this challenge! This is my 3rd Rarewomen and it's a highlight of my fannish year. There are so many fantastic female characters out there and I'm so glad we have this challenge where likeminded fans can get together and celebrate them.

i looked at my schedule again and had a last minute change of heart. hopefully i can get some writing done during spring break. and fun writing (vs work writing) might be a good change of pace for me, i hope :)

Oh, a neat looking exchange! Is it too late to join? I need to investigate this. (I did some Alais & Jeanne drabbles once, but I'd love to explore those characters some more too.)

I saw that. :'( So sad! I wish I'd known about this sooner. I've joined the community, so maybe I can get in on it next time. Yuletide was the first exchange I ever did, and I really enjoyed that. I need to find all of the good ones and revel! lol

My Kushiel drabbles are here. I never finished them! I really need to get back to that one day soon. I have a few kushiel stories up if you ever want to peruse them. I'm still pretty new to fanfic, so feel free to give constructive criticism!

bummer! well, i think there is a pinch hit list you can sign up for. there's also a spreadsheet with all the dear author letters- in case you see a prompt and want to treat. another good fest to have on your radar is femslashex- that is, if you like to write femslash. Kushiel's Legacy usually gets a fair amount of requests and offers in that exchange, given all the canon f/f relationships. that one happens usually in the early fall.

and i will be sure to check out your fic! ;)

Just surfing on through from the letters post. It was really cool to see someone else remember the Wise Child books. I loved them when I was a kid!

Hurray! You're doing rarewomen in the end! I was sure you would, but it is nice to have confirmation. I can't wait to see what you write. But how have you been? I have not heard from you in ages, nor have you even responded to my comments on your fics...

many apologies for being out of the loop lately. i had a big project dropped on me at work at the last minute and we've been having some issues with the heating system in our house. everything is ok, but i haven't had much free time. and your comments were so wonderful and generous- i want to take the time to write an equally generous reply! i'm so happy you liked your story. it was very important for me to write a story that you as a Melisande fan would enjoy. i promise i will comment properly soon! and i hope your officer training continues to go well.

Ah, I quite understand. As you know from the lateness of my reviews, I myself have been pressured for time due to Officer's Training... indeed, I have not yet read or reviewed The Kusheline Reel, which I was saving for last, for the brilliance of Melisande/Ysandre it promises. If it is indeed all I expect it to be (and I have no reason to believe otherwise), there is no doubt I will desire a seqeuel on a future where Melisande pursued Ysandre rather than Baudoin, as you mention here ( ... )

ok, i definitely have to track down this Lelailah/Jeanne fic 'cause it sounds heavenly! and Melisande/Ysandre is a wonderful pairing....so wrong between them it's almost right. i'd love to write more for them if i had the time and the right inspiration.

the project turned out ok- it was an exhibit for the library. i just wish i'd been given more than 2 weeks to do it, because a good exhibit takes time. the heater is STILL broken, but hopefully will get fixed this week. in the meantime, i am going to try to get out of town to spend a few days with friends. it's our spring break, though it's not particularly spring like here.

happy Purim! i saw on tumblr that you are home- hope you are having fun catching up with friends and family over the holidays.
