Sherwood Smith. Have you tried Sherwood Smith? I keep falling in love with her books more and more as time goes on. She has a new one out, Stranger, with Rachel Manija Brown - you may have heard a few stories about it being rejected at first for the main character being gay. Absolutely true - I beta read it 4 years ago for them, and it's still amazing.
I'm personally thinking of looking into The Dagger and The Coin series - I've heard good things about it.
Well, the jury is still out about whether femslash on The Fall will become canon. But Stella is confirmed canon bisexual and there is another lesbian character on the show, so it certainly has a lot of potential. It's a small fandom, but seems to be producing a lot of quality femslash lately.
I picked up a Sherwood Smith (Crown Duel) I think at my local library's booksale a few months ago, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Thanks for the reminder!
Ah, Crown Duel, the first of her books I read, the first she published. It is an excellent introduction to Sherwood's writing and world, even if not nearly as deep or interesting as her following books, especially The Inda Series and Banner of the Damned... After you read it, I highly recommend you look for Ione on Ao3; she's written some 'fanfiction' for Crown Duel... In any case, please tell me what you think once you finish!
