I remember watching Hatari with my great uncle and thinking it was a great pro-smoking ad. I mean, I know smoking was "the thing to do" back then, but daaaaamn; in every scene, EVERY single character lit up!

In Richard Linklater's Dazed and Confused, there's a scene where the seniors talk a freshman into buying beer at a convenience store. Drinking age was 18 at the time, so that's one thing. Thing is, once he's in the store, he's in line behind a pregnant woman who is smoking while buying beer. The movie's set in 1976, and that was just how things were then. It really makes you see how far we've come since then, in just the last 35-ish years.
