So I'm home today 'cuz I'm suffering from Mystery Face Pain. It feels like a sinus infection or maybe an abscessed tooth, but the doc doesn't think it's either. They're treating it symptomatically, so yay drugs?
Anyway! Since I'm home, I'm spending what time I'm awake doing things like watching Prometheus, and what the HELL is with the scientists they brought for this mission?? "So some cave paintings accurately guided us to a star system so far from Earth that we had to be put in cryosleep, and as predicted by said cave paintings, there's a planet capable of sustaining life."
Most of their reactions: "Whatevs, dude."
How are they not jumping up and down, squealing with glee and pissing their pants with joy? Not only have they found this planet, but they were directed there by primitive cave paintings?? There are all kinds of things to explore and study, confirm or deny, or just SCIENCE THE HELL OUT OF! And they're acting like mopey reality television stars. Who cares if the lead scientists' theory seems kind of bonkers! Just look at the situation and commence having your mind blown by this most important discovery in human history! And you get to take part in it.
