Taking another "free day" isn't easy. Not when you have an army to look after and a corporation to get under way. Zod has had a tiresome last couple of days preparing. But this day, he believes, is definitely going to be worth it. What lies beyond that doorway could be an important piece of his people. The gate is, after all, of Kryptonian origin.
Now, as Zod walks into the mansion with a smirk at the security guard, he is told to wait for Tess outside her office. He really doesn't like being told to wait, but he does so anyway, making his annoyance apparent via a scowl across his face.
When Tess does arrive, she will see him dressed much more comfortably than he had been at their last meeting. He wears a black T-shirt and green army pants, a long trench coat over his shoulders. If he were still in a dress shirt, he would have most certainly worn his new cuff links as well, but he doesn't think that would really be appropriate. This is not a corporate meeting, and, frankly, he is quite thankful for that fact.
Now, as soon as Tess makes an appearance out of those closed office doors, they can be on their way.
