babe I'm so sorry about your mom. I tried calling you yesterday.. I hope you got my message and can get a chance to call me back. I had no idea about any of your mom's problems until just a few days ago when Shelly very briefly filled me in. We've been so out of touch that I didn't even know what was happening. I hope you know that we're (your friends) all here for you. BUt I know that isn't the same as having your friends support, as far as support for college/this transitional phase in your life. I can (semi) relate to what you're saying because I have support from neither of my parents for my decision for college next year. They both are trying to disuade me from going/want me to go to community college/want me to take a year off and work. They just don't support the decisions I'm making, which I know is different from your situation, but I can relate to how difficult it can be not to have your parents support in whichever direction you chose to take
