I guess it is.
Biking is both my motive and my method for weight loss.
I discussed this some in other posts, but in short:
I used to bike a lot.
I haven't biked in many years. (like 10)
I've lost and gained weight several times.
In October I had scary high blood pressure and had to go on medication.
A light went on in my head, and I remembered biking, and bought a mountain bike, and spent a week riding someone else's mountain bike in Arizona.
I also started being very careful about what I ate.
In November, I started going to spinning classes.
In December I started going to Big Boy (harder, faster, longer) spinning classes.
The spinning classes (in addition to other workouts) have been the secret to my weight loss so far.
Now that Spring is (almost) here, I'm hoping that really riding out on the road and trail will continue to push, even accelerate the weight loss.
