[Not only did Castiel not know the whole story, the entire thing had been taken out of context. Without being able to explain himself, there really wasn't anything done to curb their apprehension.]

And I'm afraid I don't understand your meaning. This community allows each of us to bring our unique experiences in our various worlds to the table. That experience defines us and can be a great asset in problem solving. 'Leaving things at the door' seems counterproductive.

[A great deal of things Castiel says and does are run through his own personal bias -- which is why Rei is even bothering to question and discover on her own in the first place. She genuinely likes Nathaniel, though, so she keeps talking.]

Your experiences give you the tools to create new experiences here -- but none of us know what happened in your world. And I'm betting the majority of the people here won't care.

[Her expression softens a little as she frowns.]

I'm glad you're working to change your world -- and this one -- for the better. But don't use your resume to try and make people believe you. They won't. People here have been bitten too many times by too many people to believe someone's word.

That's my opinion as well. Hopefully we will both be able to look beyond our past histories and create something that neither of our lands could achieve.
