I would just like to point out that what i have heard about the estimated carrying capacity for the earth is 100+ billion people, more if undersea cities are developed. that of course assumes a lifestyle where meat is not a major ingredient (cause it takes up so much damn space). it just seems like too many people are in the world because we are not producing anywhere near capacity, like not even close. for example, here in the US we have enough land to produce enough food in a year to feed the entire world for a year (at current population levels), and have some left over. China has a similar capability (lesser however) as does Europe, Africa, Austrailia, and South and Central America. next moving on to power, last i heard a solar array about the size of egypt could provide enough power for the rest of the world (assumeing it was actually placed in egypt, or another similar location). if i recall correctly that is not only our electricity usage but also the amount of energy we extract from gasoline (Cars
