a school in the area pulled their students out of a theater during the performance of some shakespeare play because of "butt wiggling" and "fake smoking".

i'm not sure if this works with most people

but tell me no or say that something is going to be hard for me and i'll be damned if it doesn't make me work all the harder.

this is crazy. at the very last minute smith called me and told me they'd give me full financial aid for the quarter. so, i'm here. i drove wednesday morning and arrived wednesday night. nuts.

trails never end, of course. unhappiness and misfortune are bound to occur as long as people live, but there is a feeling now, that was not here before, and is not just on the surface of things, but penetrates all the way through: we've won it. it's going to get better now. you can sort of tell these things.

the columbus museum of art is totally different than the ross art museum. i'm working in the library with the exhibition catalogues and my internship point person is in another building. basically, i'm left to my own devices and feel like the work i'm doing is really easy (like no training). bummer ( Read more... )

i am sooo tired. today i worked in the archives alone almost all day long. i had to go through and scan old 8x10, 4x5 and glass negatives for an upcoming exhibition. these guys haven't been touched since they were made in the 1890's and that was kind of thrilling for me. here is one of my favorites:

ohio is so nice right now! every year this time i get all excited about how warm it is. kind of like when i get my tax return before i realize that this is supposed to happen and isn't a free gift.
