that's what struick me too as i was compiling them. I was trying to elicit some sort of reaction, some terror, evoke some deep feeling of questioning or unrest or fear, but i couldn't feel it myself. We're all numb numb numb numb numb. We watch movies and computer screens and our lives are streamlined and predictable and no one can express the deep sadness caused by this death, because we've learned to internalize and numb the screaming voice that tells us that everything we have done is wrong.
