Congratulations, you have your own infestation! Feel good in the fact that it's a large, easily sighted creature, as opposed to ants/locusts/the bubonic plague. No offence,but I'm kinda surprised the little cretin took this long to discover the smorgasboard that is your basement.

I am pleased to hear that you went the route of the dog as opposed to the mouse trap. I have had a scarring experience with a mousetrap, and with mice in general. It's not that I'm afraid of them... oh no no not at all, i just dont like it when they burrow behind my bureau, or crash in my closet, or dwell under my drawers (oh my i am SO clever!!) and how do they get up to the third floor anyway? I suppose the movie Mouse Hunt answers that...but my parents put metal plates in the walls when they rennovated to avoid this sort of thing.
