He'd go round to other boys' houses once in a great while, never more than once or twice, and he'd played theirs; but never had his own. Chase wandered up on them with a slight smile, settled onto his face. He was busy lately, sure, but he would always, always make time for the Doctor, Dixon, and Will. They were just more than friends, they were family. So when he found Will, he sat himself down on the other side of Kirjava, just grinning. "Is she jealous?" he teased lightly.

"I reckon so," he said, grinning at his dæmon, who butted her head against the little plastic case with a little mrow. "But look. It's Darth Vader made out of Lego bricks. It's totally mad." He tilted it over so Chase could see.

Chase grinned mildly and looked at the game console, shaking his head. "It's totally weird," he professed in that 'I really have no idea about this stuff' tone. He rubbed at his eyes and tried to keep awake, for Will's sake. "How are you?" he asked curiously, trying to fend off the little voice that'd been in his head for a while.

The one that insisted he 'tell Will'. Simple as that.

Will flipped the game's case shut, sticking the little pointer thing in the slot before Kirjava could make off with it. "Good," he answered. "You know, just the usual stuff. Lyra and I went swimming the other day, found some dolphins. It was fun."
