I wish I could help, and I certainly empathize; our collocation center for our business servers suffered a catastrophic event last year that nearly put us out of business, since both the main server and the backup were lost. I am thankful someone there with business ethics did the data recovery at their cost because the "event" (which they still never explained to us) was their bad and took us offline for 2 weeks.

Good luck getting your data back, and hopefully someone will cough up some backups of your unarchived fics for you!

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that...have had it happen to me more times than I care to think about...I now try to remember to back my photos up to Photobucket regularly because they are always the thing I'm most upset about losing.

I hope they are able to recover your files for you.

That sucks. Can I just say I'm glad Dust wasn't lost. I actually save my stuff on a storage site and after hearing what happened to you am I ever glad I do. I certainly wouldn't have 2 grand to get it all back with. I hope they can recover all your info.
