For a showable, working-capable, purebred of an endangered breed with no genetic health problems. In context, it's not only reasonable, it's a damn good deal. Compare that to those assholes asking like $600 for 'Cockapoos' and that kind of shit. Plus, I get some rebates on proof spay/neuter and training classes, guaranteed refund/replacement in case of hip dysplasia, guaranteed return if for some reason (Gaia forbid) I can't keep it ... I did my research for six years. I'm getting a *fuck* of a lot for my money here

There will be once s/he gets here. :) One of my regular idle-moment/going-to-sleep thoughts is now picturing the sire, the dam, and the damsire, and imagining all the possible ways its phenotype could turn out, and whether it'll like the cats or be scared of them, all the other stuff. Paxil's doing well. She had some back problems a while ago, but is recovering nicely. Her successor was just conceived a bit ago (although still waiting on the ultra-sound for confirmation) and will be joining the household sometime late this summer. She'll help me train the new pup, and then live out her days in the lap of luxury, lounging on the couch and eying the felines derisively.
Glad to hear you're doing better - I was worried for a bit.
