There's something wrong with me. There are times in the middle of the night when I wake up I try to move but I can't. It's like every muscle in my body shuts down. I can't even open my eyes. It can last anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 mintues. Just sitting there and not moving a centimeter. I can't even talk. Sometimes I think I might not ever move ( Read more... )

The muscles locking up could be that they are just far too tense. Or parkinson's diseas..or something like that. I just read something on it. I had the same thing happen to me, but i was just in a dream-ish state. it did it for a while. Try stretching before bed.

sometimes your brain wakes up before your body. everyone does it only some people remember.

if you like run around or clean before bed it'll help you sleep because it will make your body tired.

plus if you sleep when its cold; the hotter it is, the less sleep you get because your body has to make sweat

another thing; make sure ALL lights everywhere are off; even the smallest light can make sleeping harder. if you sleep with a nightlight, you lose 10% of sleep.
