Mainly my own self ranting. Derp.
Though never 100% officially stated by Hasbro OR Takara, it is heavily implied that the characters 'Nemesis Prime' (in terms of the first Universe timeline/aka WHEN HE IS A MAMMOTH FOR UNICRON, since that name is reused quite a bit) and 'Convoy Super Black' are one in the same. Convoy's bio mentions events that, as of yet, could only refer to Nemesis Prime and no other established character. Thus, I am going off the assumption that they one and the same, until such time A) Hasbro/Takara says NOPE B) Another character is made that could also fit the criteria.
Honestly, with how specific said criteria is ('replicated by the hand of Unicron from the Convoy of a certain demolished world, he was built into an assault weapon after being inflicted with millennia of torture that destroyed his mind. Defeated by the Cybertrons after a fierce battle...'), I don't think this will happen. The first part coincides with Nemesis Prime's (as evil mammoth) bio, the latter with the events of Balancing Act, the only comic in which he makes an appearance.
In the Alternity comic "Arch-Nemesis!", the character is referred to by V-704 and 'Deity' - the former being a shorthand of his Auto-Avatar designation (Vector 704) and the latter apparently a nickname or title of respect. Nemesis rebukes the 'deity' in what seems to be annoyance, instead asking to be called "Knight of Darkness". So, while his 'new' name may actually be Convoy Super Black, the fact remains that such is Japan's doing (they've renamed most 'Primes' to 'Convoys' due to it being easier for children to pronounce, and apparently all dem Alternity toys have names like 'White Pearl', 'Champion Yellow', 'Premium LeMans Blue', ect), and I'm going to stick with the English version of 'Nemesis Prime'.
The fact that his username is
knight4darkness and not knightOFdarkness is mainly because 'of' wouldn't fit, knightOdarkness seemed silly, and I couldn't think of another arrangement I liked. Still, with Nemesis' methods being ever so brutal, it can be argued that he's INDIRECTLY fighting for Darkness while DIRECTLY fighting for an actually decent cause.
Alignment =/= how bright you are. 'Light' can be just as evil as Darkness, it's all in your point of view. Transformers, while insisting on Light over Darkness, does seem to acknowledge this in part with a suggestion of 'Balance'.
SO BASICALLY, THIS IS HOW I AM ROLLING WITH NAMES;
Nemesis Prime, AKA Convoy Super Black (to the rest of the Alternity), Vector 704/V-704 (also to the Alternity, but also to Protectors and really any other unit that wants to call him by his Auto-Avatar designation), Deity (to Protector Elita-Seven), "Knight of Darkness" (FUCK YOU IT'S A GOOD TITLE /blasts linkin park), is a good guy with the Convoy collective/Corps of the Alternity, who happens to use not-so-good methods to get the job done.
It's okay, though, he's a Black Repaint. Being hardcore is sort of an implied gimmick, unless you are Skywarp.
As of his arrival in Sing, Nemesis Prime has asked most all he's introduced himself to to refer to him as 'Convoy'. This is for many reasons, but primarily because he understands that 'Nemesis' can be intimidating for the wrong reasons, and doesn't wish to be seen as hostile.
...yet.
He also holds on to the hope that if any other Alternity arrive...the 'Convoy' will be immediately familiar to them. This is a good thing.
