Yes, it's been quite some time since I've been here.
It's like revisiting an old neighbourhood. I'm planning on blogging more but for the past several months it's been a hectic writer's block for some odd reason.

A Book Based On A True Story
A Night To Remember written by Walter Lord is about the final hours of the H.M.S Titanic. I had read this book back in the mid-70's for a book report. Even though I knew the basics of the story I had decided to give it another read once again for the 2018 Ultimate Reading Challenge.

Cangames 2018 - Saturday What A Day
Well, it's May and you know what that means.

Anyhoo, it's the long weekend here in Canada, Victoria Day weekend, meaning that it's also Cangames in Ottawa. So bright and early on Saturday morning; Darryl and then Mark arrived at 7am at my place so we could make the pilgrimage to Ottawa.

A Book Published in the 20th Century
I Heard The Owl Call My Name is written by Magaret Craven was written in 1967 and was first published by Clarke Irwin and Co. Ltd in Toronto, ON. The edition I picked up is a Totem edition published in 1975 by Pan Books Ltd.
This is the edition that I remember reading back in elementary school back in the mid 70's. If I recall correctly it was one ( Read more... )
