About thirty years ago my parents made friends with a travelling couple called Tommy and Lovey Day (one of the best named people ever- if ever there was a person who seemed like a bright summer afternoon it was her). That is so lovely! I think it's really amazing when people who we love and cherish (sometimes inadvertently) leave things behind that remind us of them in such an appropriate.

A lovely moment. Happy to hear that you got to have it. Hopefully that rose bush will stay and you will get to relive more memories of them as you wander past every so often.
